About Us

Since Trevor Waller (retired) and Keith Donnithorne (our current chairman) founded Waldon in 1976, our company and reputation have grown. We work with a wide sector of clients - both domestic and commercial with a team of over 80 employees - many of whom have been with the company for over ten years and are part of the Waldon family.

Our chain of local suppliers ensures that we support our local community, as well as helping us to reduce our carbon footprint, with sustainability and innovation key factors in our approach and ethos.

Building for the longevity of Waldon's future, each year we take on apprentices through the JTL scheme, who benefit from our wealth of experience and who, we hope, will become long serving members of the team.

Explanation of Waldon TClarke

With nearly four decades of success, Waldon caught the attention of the country's most respected building services contractors - T Clarke plc - who have built a family of distinctive regional business throughout the UK. Operating since the 1870s, T Clarke started with the electrification of royal palaces, country houses and state buildings. It was the first company in the UK to put electricity into a commercial property and has been selected to work on many of the country's great landmark construction projects ever since.

Waldon were proud to become part of the T Clarke group in 2005, which has enabled us to tap into and contribute to a knowledge spa of industry leaders, at the cutting edge of the trade. We also benefit from T Clarke's national resources including stringent Health and Safety policies and procedures, Quality Assessments and communications on changes to policy and legislation.

With national resources, the running and management of our company remains with our local team, ensuring that our customers are still taken care of by the people they have grown to know and trust, enabling Waldon to maintain the ethos of a local, family firm that we cherish.

At Waldon we are pleased to be the centre of excellence in PV and solar power for the group. Our specialist devision - Waldon EcoSolar enables us to deliver the most appropriate renewable energy solutions for each individual client. Working hand-in-hand with our electrical department, we provide a complete package and look after all aspects of design, installation and management of a range of eco systems. We are experienced in harnessing sources of natural power and integrating the technology, resulting in energy savings, reduction in costs and carbon footprint.
